Rubber wristbands are trendy and chic but still so simple and cheap things that anybody can literally afford to buy and wear his/her choice of this rubber piece but why aren’t they found on everybody’s wrist? If you tried to figure out or ask them why your question is likely to bounce back to you.
It’s a simple question which is almost always in an innocent tone from persons who are absolutely at oblivion of the significance of buying and wearing simple rubber wristbands. Most of these are young people to whom the market has failed to reach the significance surrounding it and their inadvertent participation in a social cause of immense importance.
If you leave the commercial purposes of selling rubber wristbands aside for a while, the entire reason for the existence of the industry is fundraising for a charity or another noble cause. We know young children selling wristbands to raise funds for their schools or clubs, we also know that it has an immense precedence in "Livestrong" wristbands sold to raise fund for cancer research.
Well, it isn’t just enough to be aware of good things; it is all about making a decision. Even assuming that you aren’t of the age when you are ready to give for charity, you still stand to benefit on other accounts such as recognition from your peers and recognition from those who are in the know.
After all, rubber wristbands being so cheap, when you can buy a dozen of them, why not go for different designs and colors combinations from altogether different sellers? You are at your will to throw them out of the window even if you don’t like anyone of them.
Everything with wristbands is to gain if it is social or peer recognition for you, it may be in the form of great relief of saving lives for somebody or sales accomplished for someone else. Are you still thinking why you should buy rubber wristbands? We hope not.
What is the general rule of picking out a Wristband/Bracelet?
We love jewelry. In fact, the bigger and bolder, the better. I mean, We're not talking about a Dallas socialite or successful real estate agent kind of jewelry. That’s a little over the top for me. But here are my general rules for jewelry.
- Must be silver in color. Preferably sterling silver or silver plated. And of course, white gold and platinum are readily accepted.
- Must have some weight to it. No delicate chains for me around my neck or my wrist.
- Must be just a wee bit funky OR must be a classic (think silver hoops).
And then when it comes to wearing jewelry, We have a few more rules.
- Don’t mix gold and silver. It’s all silver (preferably) or all gold. This includes the clasps on purses and buckles on shoes. (This is excessive, We know.)
- Wear big earrings and no necklace or smaller earrings and a big necklace. Unless you’re wearing classic silver hoops.
- Don’t wear a complete matching set (although I’ve broken this rule because we have a beautiful set).
- Wear bracelets all year round. Even in winter.
I’ll admit, We used to think bracelets were reserved only for summer when our tanned (or sunburned arms) would be bare and a beautiful piece of jewelry around our wrists would make us look exquisite amidst the heat and humidity. Because really, in winter, We mainly look like this.
Why am I wearing a bracelet?
It’s winter. We’re usually wearing bulkier clothes and long sleeves and sweaters so who’s going to see the bracelet anyway?
Answer: Lots of people, including you.
You can buy it as a complete bracelet (with 5 charms and 5 beads) or just design your own. For me, chunkier is better so this is just the way we like it. But again, should I really be wearing such a fabulous find in winter? Especially if no one will see it? Here are the answers to these questions and more.
We love mixing casual and elegant but normally I’m a little afraid of color, especially when it comes to jewelry. And even though we were wearing a gray top and a red sweater, the blue in these beads made it coordinate with my jeans.
It brings a touch of elegance to your everyday tasks.Yes, of course, you should be wearing bracelets and wristbands in the winter.
